Beyond Non-Duality: Introducing Multi-Dimensionality
Toward a more holistic, omni-integrative paradigm of human life...
In recent months, I seem to be definitively moving beyond the paradigm of non-duality, my primary/dominant paradigm the past ~3 years…
Into something that has no name, yet which for fun I might call:
Multi-dimensionality.
Multi-dimensionality integrates and fully honors the reality of both duality and non-duality, as well as that which is beyond both.
Both, Neither, Far Beyond Either
Multi-dimensionality honors the un-pin-down-able both-neither-far-beyond-either-ness of reality.
It recognizes that every reality-tunnel is true within its own context — true as far as it goes — while also recognizing that some reality-tunnels are “more true” than others—i.e. more attuned to the mysterious fullness of reality as it is.
On another level, it recognizes that no reality-tunnel is “more true” than any other in the Absolute sense, as each reality-tunnel consists of nothing other than Absolute Reality, being as it is.
So, as to the question, “Are some reality-tunnels or perspectives ‘more true’ than others, or not?,” multi-dimensionality responds (as it does to virtually all this-or-that questions):
Both, neither, far beyond either.
A few further examples of this:
“Is the world of form real or unreal?”
Both, neither, far beyond either.
“Do other people actually exist, or not?”
Both, neither, far beyond either.
“Is reality meaningful or meaningless?”
Both, neither, far beyond either.
“Is pizza better with sausage or pepperoni?”
Both, neither, far beyond either.
The “neither” and “far beyond either” aspects are arguably even more crucial than the “both” aspect here.
While the “both” aspect points to the absolute inclusivity of reality…
The “neither” (neti neti) and “far beyond either” aspects point to the absolute unfindability, unresolvability, ambiguity, and forever-beyond-ness of reality.
These latter aspects indicate that “the map is never the territory”—that no statement or belief is absolutely true, as reality is always infinitely far beyond anything that could be compressed into a finite concept.
All, None, Far Beyond
It’s also worth noting that, with respect to open-ended questions, multi-dimensionality will likely always respond:
All possible answers, no possible answer, and far beyond any answer or lack of an answer.
This is essentially the translation of “both, neither, far beyond either” for open-ended questions. Examples:
“What is God?”
All possible answers, no possible answer, and far beyond any answer or lack of an answer.
“What is enlightenment?”
All possible answers, no possible answer, and far beyond any answer or lack of an answer.
“Who am I?”
All possible answers, no possible answer, and far beyond any answer or lack of an answer.
“What time is the pizza arriving?”
All possible answers, no possible answer, and far beyond any answer or lack of an answer.
Again, multi-dimensionality is thusly pointing to the absolute inclusivity of reality—that all perspectives are true within their own context—as well as to the absolute unfindability and forever-beyond-ness of reality.
You might ask, “Is this pure relativism, or not?”
Both, neither, far beyond either. : )
On one hand: Sure. On another hand: No. On another hand: Neither.
On another hand: The true answer is far beyond any dualistic true-or-false framework.
I’m not simply being facetious here.
This is actually how I feel.
This may feel mind-boggling or “difficult to wrap your head around,” and that’s precisely the point.
The Infinite Multi-Dimensional Mystery of Reality is way beyond the pay-grade of the thinking mind.
So, when the thinking mind is feeling baffled and tied in knots…
That means you might actually be getting somewhere.
It’s All Valid
Basically, multi-dimensionality says that all experience is valid.
It notices that reality is far beyond anything that could ever be contained in language — or contained in any dualistic “true or false” framework.
It notices that paradoxes are no problem for God — God eats paradox-pizza for breakfast.
Multi-dimensionality is difficult to describe or talk about because…
It is so all-encompassing, all-affirming, all-negating, *and* all-transcending.
It views a schizophrenic psychotic’s reality-tunnel as being, in a profound sense, just as valid and true as Albert Einstein’s reality-tunnel.
It also supposes that one of their reality-tunnels is likely to be more in tune with reality as it actually is.
It also views both of their perspectives (and all perspectives) as being totally insufficient to capture what is *actually* going on here.
Even God’s omniscient perspective cannot quite contain God, or grok God’s deepest secret.
The Infinite Mystery is appalling in its impenetrability. It has no finish line.
Multi-dimensionality views poetry, non sequitur art, and nonsensical gibberish as tools just as accurate and useful as science and rationality for describing/understanding reality (if not more accurate and useful).
Multi-dimensionality views a series of frenzied monkey sounds as being a profound statement about reality—just as profound or perhaps more profound than statements like, “E=mc2” or “All is One.”
Multi-dimensionality recommends to “transcend and include” the linear, dualistic thinking mind, viewing it as a highly useful yet ultimately primitive tool for grokking reality.
Multi-dimensionality encourages you to “be what you are” and “be what you cannot not be,” which of course you are always doing.
Multi-dimensionality is just as comfortable speaking about the pragmatic, dualistic realities of human life on Earth as it is speaking about the perfection of the One Infinite Loving Intelligence.
It does not bypass the world, but eagerly digs its hands into the soil, honoring the reality that we are quite clearly on Earth to be here (and perhaps to make this a more beautiful place for all, if we are so inclined).
It’s just as comfortable and happy to be an ‘ego’ as it is to be the Self.
It recognizes and honors difference.
It recognizes and honors that some approaches to life are more artful, skillful, honorable, Tao-aligned, and karmically auspicious, while others are more clumsy, unskillful, dishonorable, Tao-misaligned, and karmically inauspicious.
At the same time, it recognizes that, paradoxically, there are no mistakes, and all ‘events’ and beings ultimately serve the One.
Multi-dimensionality acknowledges only one fact: The Absolutely Mysterious ALL-ONE-ZERO — the Omnipresent Indivisible Is-ness of NOW.
Multi-dimensionality suggests that “it’s ALL *THAT*” — no matter what it looks like — and it’s all valid.
Multi-dimensionality notices that humanity is too wrapped up in silly dualistic designators such as “real” VS “unreal” and “true” VS “false.”
Multi-dimensionality suggests that when such designators are “gone beyond,” there is only THIS — the absolutely unsayable Mystery, being with itself in whatever valid way it is currently being with itself, shape-shifting constantly yet never *actually* *ESSENTIALLY* changing.
Multi-dimensionality encourages readers to “have fun being human.”
It views all conventional aspects of human life—procreation, parenting, educating, food-finding, community, celebration, etc.—as being beautiful and no less real or valid than “dissolving into the Absolute”…
Though it suggests that “dissolving into the Absolute” is also cool and revelatory and is likely to cast a rejuvenating, relieving, profundity-revealing light upon all other human activities.
Multi-dimensionality recommends “digging” reality, “vibing” with it, “partying” in it, “tripping out” on it, and trusting it as wholly as possible.
Multi-dimensionality isn’t so sure it likes the name “multi-dimensionality” anymore and may simply abandon it immediately after publishing this essay.
Multi-dimensionality recommends Love.

Have you watched the fecal transplant episode on South Park? Because this is the shit I like. 😂
But jokes aside, this has also been my operating system for the past 6 or more months. It’s both absurd and divine. Let’s get some pizza. 🍕
Unable to reconcile 'Both, neither, far beyond either' aspect to the three laws of thought by Aristotle in face of which Nagarjuna's Madhyamika/Buddhist emptiness philosophy also looks untenable.
