So I’ve been playing around with Midjourney AI the past few days…
It’s an artificial-intelligence tool that generates stunning art.
On the human end, you enter a creative / poetic sequence of words detailing your vision…
And the artificial intelligence 'imagines' art-works into existence.
I had seen a lot of Midjourney art online in recent weeks and had felt astonished by the art being generated.
My first impression, in trying it out for myself, is that this is ridiculously fun, spellbinding, fascinating, and imagination-stretching.
I can't even imagine how this is going to disrupt the art world.
I definitely feel the pain for all the artists whose jobs / income streams are likely to disappear or be affected.
At the same time, there's also a feeling of inevitability and a sense that I am meant to play with this technology to create cool stuff.
The process kinda feels like romancing or seducing the computer to finesse a result in a never-before-seen direction.
As I spent more and more hours collaborating with the AI, it started to feel wilder and wilder…
It feels like the images are speaking to my soul and charging me up.
It almost feels like God or entheogenic intelligences are utilizing the AI to send us new codes, signals, activations, inspirations.
It also feels like Midjourney has given me a whole new, highly sophisticated, multidimensional language with which to express myself.
Finally I can translate more of what I’ve experienced in this lifetime into a visual language that communicates in ways words never could.
