The way to see through all of mankind's artificial divisions is for individuals to authentically experience God's Love.
Words and belief are not enough.
Only the direct experience of that Love makes it clear how to heal humanity and the Earth.
I believe Gandhi and Yogananda were largely correct in their assertions that:
All genuine religions can be paths to God.
Yet in any religion it is the experience of God that must be sought.
For only this experience of reunion clarifies truth and reveals the falsity of fundamentalism.
Fundamentalism, legalism, and literalism will not take us where our Hearts yearn to go.
These attitudes only burn bridges rather than building them.
All the world's holy books have been revised and translated too many times to be fully relied upon. Human language is too low-resolution & cerebral to be fully relied upon as a mode of transmission of spiritual truth.
That is not to say to disregard the holy texts.
Far from it.
Study them.
But understand that only the direct revelatory experience of God's Love can illuminate the man-created distortions which have inevitably crept into all of these texts across aeons of time.
God's Love ultimately transcends every religious system.
It is an all-embracing Light of the Infinite Sun.
When this Light touches you, the dogmas of the mind cannot stand.
Only directly-experienced Divine Love can heal this world.
This Love is omnipresent.
If you can't feel it, trust that it is there.
Have faith in it. Pray for it to touch your Heart.
Have faith that it transcends religion.
You can still enthusiastically practice your religion or spiritual approach.
It is good to be rooted in some kind of sacred structure.
Yet allow your wings to spread beyond your chosen structure, for any human approach is ultimately only one angle on the Whole.
That goes for all religions, all nondual approaches, all unaffiliated spiritual (anti-)systems.
There are as many paths to God as there are individuals.
If your Heart is called, it is a good practice to periodically burn down & relinquish even your most cherished structures & beliefs for periods of time.
This can open you to the Direct Light of the Supreme Wellspring.
Ultimate Love is all-embracing.
Most fundamentally, it is an all-encompassing Sun of Love that literally burns away all prior karma and redeems All in its Light.
Let this Sun guide you directly.
"Love thy neighbor." "Love thy enemies."
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Love is the one Law.
All comes from Love.
All shall return to Love.
This is my best effort to faithfully pass on what has been shown to me.
I pray that these words do not represent my own limited understanding but rather serve as a conduit for the Creator's Loving Wisdom to shine into this world.
Amen.
With Love,
J
Epilogue: Personal Reflections on This Post & Where I’m At in My Journey
Length: ~1,400 words
Pull-quotes:
“Vastly more important than mankind’s squabbles over details, dogmas, and doctrines, is the simple Melting into the Indisputable Wordless Presence of God’s Love. When all words dissolve in the Presence of That Holy Light, there is no mind left to deny that All is God; God is Almighty; and All Shall Return to God.”
“It can feel like the Sun of Truth is channeling through the prismatic group-field to zap specks of impurity & delusion out of my field in a laser-like way.”
“Being overly beholden to any one system will always be a limitation. Being rooted in a sacred system or structure is (often) good, but a true man of God must always retain the ability to transcend his religion and experience Divine Mystery in a way that could never be pinned down within any fathomable structure or linguistic belief system.”
“I feel and pray that I am ready to conquer my vices on a deeper level, become more disciplined, and spend less time giving in to shallow pleasures. I feel and pray that I am ready to continue growing into a more trustworthy, respectable, reliable, solid, present, loving man—for my family, my friends, myself, and hopefully for all beings.”
Dear Family,
I just wrote the above post after leading a powerful men’s circle today. We did an exercise called the ‘King’s Chair’—an exercise I originally learned in ARKA Brotherhood—and it felt like one of the most potent circles of the year.
It’s interesting that this post came through so strongly immediately after the circle—and in the midst of the deep ongoing ‘wrestling with Christianity’ process that I wrote to all of you about the other day…
Energetically, there’s something very interesting that can happen within group-containers / group-fields such as those that I hold for men’s work. I believe it relates to the fact that there are many powerful souls in these men’s circles who have been on deep spiritual journeys spanning many traditions, teachings, practices, and mystical experiences…
