Amazing. You killed this bro, extremely thorough and I agree on basically every point down to the epilogue.
So hard to know how to actually effect positive change and not just think βoh what does it matter if the world could end tomorrowβ so we just gotta pray non-stop for guidance and our place in all of this. Just like you talk about, itβs all by Godβs will and we need to trust. Love you homie
I appreciate the time you put into this. There is a lot that I think is healthy discussion of the political process and how silly and corrupt all of it is.
One point of contention, regarding Trump's "team" he is assembling. I find this to be utter nonsense. I'm not sure how one could look at that as anything other than another ploy to help him gain votes, to serve HIS own needs. Trump has told us who he is over the past 40 years. Practically everyone who has ever worked with him no longer does. If Gabbard and RFK JR are honorable (which they don't seem to be to me, but I digress), and they are simply using this support of Trump as a chance to possibly become president one day, then (IMO), they are no longer honorable. The sycophantry is certainly thick.
I also recently read Charles Eisenstein's posts regarding Trump/RFK. Unfortunately, he seems to have been swallowed up by the machine as well.
I do agree with a lot of what you said about the Democratic party. Even though I find it to be the less problematic (at least right now), there isn't really a whole lot I can confidently refute in what you posted.
I find your overall viewpoint to be one worthy of contemplating. One thing is for certain (IMO). The further away one stays from all the political nonsense, the healthier one's brain.
Thanks for the rich comment and healthy disagreement, Scott! Iβd be curious how youβd feel if you watched the long-form videos I posted of Gabbard and RFK Jr -- I found those particular interviews quite compelling
However I also very much understand your skepticism -- and I have my own doubts as well, as I expressed in the piece. I almost certainly wonβt be voting either way
Agree with you on the healthiness of unplugging from the political madness. Iβm looking forward to publishing ~3 more partially-written essays related to this stuff and then turning off the politics again on the other side of the election
I had already watched the videos you posted with Gabbard and RFK Jr. Obviously Gabbard is an eloquent, thoughtful speaker. The same can be said about many, many people. I could point out many on the Democratic side (Buttigieg comes to mind). I just don't see anything in that interview that makes me think she's concerned about anything other than Tulsi Gabbard and her potential role. She obviously has interesting history in her own party. Do I KNOW that is her motive? Of course not. But maybe my dark magick spotting is better than yours :)
As far as RFK Jr. I think he was going to go with whatever side would have him. I don't understand how someone like RFK can tout non-partisan politics and then join up with Donald Freaking Trump. (I would say the same had he "joined" Kamala Harris, which I think he most assuredly would have had she welcomed him). The cognitive dissonance there is astounding.
Anyways, that is really besides the point. The sad thing to me is how many individuals in this great country there TRULY are that would be wonderful, wonderful leaders. However, the political scene doesn't really allow that, and let's be frank, why would anyone who we would REALLY want to lead ever get into public office? :) Sounds like a nightmare!
I had an initial inkling I was going to more strongly disagree with the overall tenor of your post, but I found myself agreeing more than disagreeing. I am one who my friends sometimes accuse of being too "high level thinking" or "too much of a universal view." One thing is obvious to me. You CARE. You CARE about other people, and the planet, and everything. You admit your faults and your shortcomings. Maybe there are people out there who truly are this way in the political scene. But you know as well as I do that (even with your dark magick capabilities), it's really, really hard to tell.
Thanks again for the effort and true, obvious care and compassion you put into this.
Thank you, Scott -- I really appreciate this. Sounds like we have a lot in common.
Perhaps I got overly entranced by the high-conviction rhetoric of Gabbard and RFK Jr. I listened to another speech by both of them at a recent Michigan rally last night (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOgQ2nrzBOI), and I felt less gung-ho about them after that, as I did perceive some dishonest, divisive, fear-based tactics sneaking into their rhetoric
It's a sad state of affairs. I guess a lot of us want to hope for good people to make it into office -- and sometimes this hope makes us too quick to believe. Presently feel like I still like Gabbard and RFK Jr. but yeah, I feel more soberly cautious now.
Thanks for the healthy discourse. Imagine that! Two people can have a back and forth (even political)!
Hope you didn't perceive any of this as a harsh judgement. After all, in the words of the great Anthony DiMello: "I'm an ass, you're an ass, so where's the problem"?
Seems like most politicians can easily adopt the "you're an ass" part, but sorely miss the "I'm an ass" part :) !!!

Love you too bro, thank you! Really appreciate the feedback. Good to know others are seeing similar things.
And yeah praying for sure, listening deeply to the heart to see how God calls us to serve ππΌβ€οΈβπ₯

This essay on Elon Musk (though biased) also makes interesting, sobering points: https://medium.com/@da82ir1jaf/elon-musk-king-of-the-dark-enlightenment-9270332c67af
Thanks for noticing that the care and compassion I put into the piece. Appreciate you <3

Hahah love that! Iβm an ass, youβre an ass, no problem π΄
No your tone came across as respectful! I appreciate the healthy discussion from another guy who tends toward a βUniversal Viewβ : )
Thank you and take care!
